- Strength Tier 8:
161-200: Genius classed people are capped at the tip of this level in this tier. People are massively strong in this tier. Obliterating buildings and streets and breaking bones with every hit. It would take almost 4 inches of steel to hold something of this level. Assuming they didn't have a weapon to just cut through it. There are a few binding kido that they can break out of with raw strength alone. That's just to show how massively strong they are. Given it would still take a bit of energy to get it done.
- Speed Tier 9:
201-250: Those in the centre of this tier have finally doubled the speed limit. Decimating it so horribly once they max out in the tier that it is not heard after a while, their max speed will be Mach 2.5. Their speed is legendary and absolutely fearful as they close massive distances in incredibly short amounts of time.
- Stamina Tier 8:
161-200: Agile class people are capped at the top of this tier. They are people who can take a good hit from someone with mass strength and shake it off with ignorable damage. They can take hit after hit after hit and keep on moving. Broken bones can be ignored, and they have to lose a lot of blood. Taking damage left and right they are the tanks of the fighting world. Plowing through and taking stabs and hits and attacks and throwing them off.
- Reiryoku Tier 3:
21-40: At this level you are now an intermediate user. Managing to kill your basic human with just 1 hit. You can take out a thick tree with your attacks and cause quite some property damage. Ripping small chunks from stone and similar types of damage. The average shinigami is of this level, nothing really special about your skills here.
- Perception Tier 9:
201-250: Here you are, the best you can ever get eyesight wise. You will never miss a target, period, you have ample time to figure out where attacks that fall two levels below you are going, before you react. Those inside their benchmark speed wise are easily followed. While increasingly difficult based on the gap those in the one above are hard to follow. Those 2 benchmarks above can barely be comprehended in terms of speed.
Character Information: - Spoiler:
Appearance: Tenkai is of above average height standing at five eleven (5'11). He weighs one hundred and ninety three pounds (193 Lbs). He has dark brown hair that has been allowed to grow long as it is close to his waist. He generally wears his hair in a high ponytail that drapes down the middle of his back. Only when he goes to sleep and is bathing will his hair ever be out of his typical ponytail. His eyebrows are a dark brown like his hair and are somewhat bushy. They aren't unsightly, but are thicker then the average person. They have a slight curve to them as well giving him a fiercer facial expression. His eyes are, like his hair and eyebrows, a dark brown as well and add further to his fierce appearance. They are somewhat oval and turned giving a point at the top left and bottom right of his eyes, similar to that of a hawks.
His nose is average in every sense of the word, it is just slightly slimmer towards the tip instead of a bulbous appearance like most which decreases the size of his nostrils. His ears are typical to that of any other individual other then slightly shrunken earlobes. The earlobes dont quite have that full circular bottom only have a small half circle below where the skin connects. He has no facial hair as he prefers to keep himself clean shaven. He has a very defined jawline that comes down into a pronounced chin. His body is very defined with his skin and muscles taut. There is no extra space where fat could exist on his athletic physique. He isn't overly muscular making him look like a mindless brute, but he is clearly strong and defined.
His shoulders give a definite V shape across their slope and up to his neck. A defined crease between his pectoralis muscles giving further form to his body. Upon his left pectoral there is however a long scar that reaches down to his upper right abdomen which was acquired in battle many years ago. His arms hang down to just above his knees being about an inch and a half away from the kneecaps. His hands are large and strong and heavily caloused upon the finger pads and palm from constant use of his zanpaktou. His fingers are of average length and proportionate to his hands and have a strong grip. His abdomen his chiseled out giving way to a six pack set of abs that are as strong as steel. Finally his legs make up a good portion of his height and are as equally defined as the rest of his body. Made up of finely toned thighs and calves giving the final touches to his strong body.
Personality: Tenkai is a person that has great strength of character. He has learned greatly from his responsibilities and hardships from when he was alive as well as his time as a shinigami. He has learned to carry his own personal burdens with a calm and quiet strength without asking others for help. He hates being unable to handle things off of his own steam unless it is truly something that would be impossible to do himself. He hates people showing weakness in themselves as well. If someone gives up on something too easily or gives up before even trying at all its liable to irritate him. But, in quite the opposite mindset he is sensitive to the plights of others. Where as weakness in physical trials irritates him, weakness in mental or emotional trials cause ellicits a more sensitive response to him. It is especially true if the individual in distress happens to be a squad mate or a close friend of his. This stems from his strong sense of self as he is typically a loner.
The few friends and confidants he has are incredibly close to him. Those whom he has allowed to become close to him are like family to him and he treats them as such. He is happy to help them with anything they may need as long as it doesnt conflict with his sense of justice or ideals. If they are threatened it could easily incite him to anger especially if their life is in danger. He has a horrible temper as well though it is rather slow to light. It takes a great deal of nagging, physical or mental abuse, or anything akin to that to light his fuse and even then his steel will may keep it from doing so. Though, when the fuse is lit it burns up quickly and his rage bursts from out of his personality. He has a sharp tongue that he typically uses when one has incited him to anger, and in extreme cases, he may attack. If one incites him to such rage that he physically attempts to attack, usually by the threatening of a friends life, he strikes to kill.
When angered, his normal calm and pleasurable demeanor goes out the window resulting in what is almost a raging beast. His thoughts are not quite cohesive and battle strategy is much more crude. His basic thought pattern degrades to simply destroying his opponent by any means necessary with the entirety of his strength. However, along with a horrible temper when incited he also has an incredibly strong sense of justice. He doesn't particularly see in black and white but he does have an idealism as to what is right and wrong. Even if something is ordered and done out of protocol Tenkai will not fulfill it if he truly thinks it wrong. His ideals are very much like that of Jyuushiro Ukitake and Shunsui Kyoraku in comparison. He will do as he is told but if it conflicts with what he truly believes to be just he will fight the decision even if it means punishment.

History:
Human: Tenkai had been born in Japan during a time of war known as Sengoku Jidai. He had lived in Owari province with his two grandparents since his parents had been murdered by marauding soldiers. His days were filled with large amounts of manual labor whether it was collecting wood or tending the fields. The spare time that he had he used up practicing his skills in swordsmanship, archery, and tactics in both warfare and domestic affairs. Tenkai was determined to ask to join with the Oda clans newest leader, Nobunaga Oda. He had heard many tales of his power and how quickly his influence was spreading through central japan. Though war had taken his parents he wished to join so he could try to bring an end to all of the fighting and help Nobunaga unite the land under his clan. When Tenkai had become eighteen he left his grandparents and set off to Nagoya castle where Nobunaga and his main force were currently stationed. When he arrived he pleaded for an audience with Nobunaga to be enlisted into his army. Tenkai finally received his audience with Nobunaga after coming back for a third time.
Due to Tenkai's conviction and spirit as well as his prowess in combat and tactics. He was admitted as an officer in charge of a small unit of men meant to guard one of the western borders areas of the territory. Though not the duty that he had ideally wanted he accepted this gracious offer from Nobunaga and did his job faithfully. For several months Tenkai defended the border though he was only engaged in combat twice. Finally through all of his hard work he was rewarded with a chance to join Nobunaga's main army as they were going to move on to strike the Asakura. Tenkai had been promoted and was placed in charge of several other minor officers and a much larger group of soldiers. During the battle of Kanegasaki Tenkai had led his unit in the initial charge against the Asakura and was slowly pushing them back. Through an unexpected turn of events though the Azai had decided to side with the Asakura instead of maintaining a neutral stand. The Azai flanked Tenkai's unit and began to decimate his men and officers. Tenkai had ordered a retreat while he and a choice few of his men and officers held the enemy off to save the majority of the remaining men. Though he fought bravely Tenkai was killed during the battle and his soul was soon after sent to Soul Society. Now a soul Tenkai has entered the shinigami academy hoping to become a warrior once more.
Academy Student: When his training began at the academy he quickly found himself as the typical individual amongst a group of the same. When he went in he thought himself strong, easily able to pass any test or hardship life through at him. But all of his training meant nothing in this new world. Sure he could wield a blade, ride a horse, shoot a bow. But these new 'mystical' powers that the shinigami used were different and he couldn't quite grasp them. But he would have to learn to do so if he wished to get anywhere. However as he continued to learn and progress he found himself excelling at a great pace. Even managing to acquire his shikai while still studying within the academy. His feats within the school were certainly spread around as his teachers kept a close eye on him. These talents would get him through the academy in a mere three years as opposed to the normal six or seven students typically had to go through. He was no prodigy but he was certainly beyond the normal standard.
It was during his time at the academy that yet another out of the ordinary event would occur to the young Tenkai. It was his third year, and what would turn out to be his last year at the academy. Being in the advanced class there was the dummy hollow test. The students gathered up in front of the senkaimon prepared for the academies travel to the world of the living. They formed up into their small groups of three and were moved out one group at a time. They would be accompanied by five students that were in their final year at the academy. They arrived safely in the world of the living in the restricted area they would use to combat the dummy hollows. Each of the groups was given a brief set of instructions and were sent on their way. Everything was routine, they pursued their hollows, slayed them as instructed, and finished with a job well done. However with Tenkai's more, adventurous nature, he wasn't quite fulfilled.
When his group headed back off to the meeting point he saw fit to go further into the town they were in and wander outside the restricted area. He moved through undetected and wandered off himself into the woods nearby the town they had been brought too. He didn't particularly know what he was looking for, if anything for that matter, but he just wanted to explore. It was his first time to the World of the Living since he had died and he wanted to get as much out of it as he could. He wasn't particularly scared of running into one of those real hollows either. From what he had heard they were supposed to be these frightening beasts, but most graduated shinigami with a modicum of skill were capable of slaying one. That being the case he didn't think it would be an issue. He had in secret been honing his own skills with his zanpaktou as well. He had managed to acquire the most basic form of his Shikai that he could attain. He simply knew his zanpaktou's name, nothing more. But that was far from what most shinigami themselves accomplished.
Wandering about in the wooded area he heard something moving nearby. He assumed it was just one of the various animals that made the wooded areas their indigenous domain. However, whatever this creature was, it was much larger and much more dangerous. It seemed to be circling around him strangely enough as it knew he was there. He didn't know why it was doing so but decided to proceed with caution. Once he had noticed that this mysterious presence had made its way behind him, that was when the action started. The beast lunged out from behind him poised to strike. Being as aware as he was he quickly rolled forward in a somewhat clumsy fashion causing him to tumble several times before rising to his feet. He was strong, but not exactly the most coordinated person. Quickly drawing his zanpaktou he turned around looking behind him to see what had attacked. This creature, it was the first thing that he had ever seen that truly inspired fear in Tenkai.
It was a hollow, and it was a large one at that. The beast stood only several feet below the tops of the trees making it roughly eleven or twelve feet tall. It was humanoid in shape but had a strange face covered in what appeared to be a white mask. It stood on all four similar to that of a primate as well. It had arms that were just about as long as its legs as well as being incredibly large. Physically it looked like it could tear Tenkai in half with little to no effort. He had gotten more then he bargained for and now he had to deal with the consequences. He moved careful and somewhat clumsily as fear radiated through his body. It hampered his movements and reactions having to second guess every movement, every thought. This was brand new to him and he didn't know how to react. Observing for a moment his thoughts were bolted out once more as the hollow lunged at him. It sprang forward and reached one massive arm out attempting to grab him. He wasn't about to have himself become the prey of a hollow. Shaking away the fear that slowed him for a moment he jumped to his right out of the way of the massive arm.
Turning the blade of his zanpaktou so it was facing upwards, Tenkai slashed vertically across at the hollows arm cutting it near the center of its forearm. The blade cut deep and sliced cleanly through the flesh flinging blood about as the wound released the crimson fluid of life. Grabbing hold of its arm the hollow roared in pain not expecting a simple academy student to wound it so. Seeing this as an advantage Tenkai decided to press the attack and rushed out at the beast. He flew across in front of it and slashed horizontally at the beasts legs as he glided past. Once more he felt his blade slice through flesh as he wounded the hollow twice with a deep gash in each thigh. The beast roared once more, however this time not in pain but instead in anger. His constant attacks had enraged the hollow and it was done messing around. Pouncing forward despite its leg wounds it smashed both of its fists down with great force aiming for Tenkai. Its right hand misseds its target but the left, and wounded hand, made contact with Tenkai's back around his left shoulder blade. He heard a crack and felt something pop out of place as his body was slammed to the ground.
A shallow imprint of his body was now in the ground as he slowly began to get up in his confusion. His head swimming he tried to prop himself up on his arms and rise to his feet but found it impossible. The strike to his shoulder blade had popped his arm out of the socket and broken both the shoulder blade and his collar bone. His left arm was practically useless as it was. Gritting his teeth in anger he rolled himself over onto his back and slowly backed his way up from the hollows. It was watching him, not moving or attacking, just watching him. It most likely thought of him like cat toying around with a bird as its prey. Continuing to inch his way back, pushing with his legs, he felt a great deal of things inside of him. Pain of course was one of them, anger, and also a great amount of fear. He had never been wounded like this before, and especially not before such a real threat. He didn't want to die here, but it looked like it was increasingly possible. But not until he had exhausted his last breath would he resign himself to that horrible fate. Bringing his zanpaktou up and pointing it at the beast his reiatsu began to rise fluctuating rapidly.
"Unari, Oni Kokouo" Those were the words spoken by Tenkai as he released the first form of ones zanpaktou, the shikai. His zanpaktou erupted into flame turning into an inferno of fire and steel. His reiatsu similarly turned into a controlled inferno but was still more then impressive for a simple academy student. Looking up at the beast his eyes glowed a dark crimson as the fires of his soul burned within him. He would finish this in one fell swoop cleansing the beast of its dark soul. Springing forward Tenkai maneuvered swiftly as his left arm dangled freely behind him. Pushing off the ground he used all of his strength to hoist himself up into the air two or so feet above the hollow. Then, descending on the vile beast he brought his zanpaktou up with his right arm and slashed with all his strength. A loud crack and the sound of tearing flesh was the result as Tenkai ripped clean through the beasts mask and head. Almost immediately after finishing the attack the hollow began to dissipate into a blackish mist as its soul was purified and sent to the soul society.
Having saved his life and fighting, and defeating, his first hollow he felt accomplished. Moving forward slowly he made his way out of the woods and to the border of the restricted area he had started in. His Shikai had become sealed as his own energy reserves were used and the immense amount of pain he was in was causing his vision to blur in and out. A dozen yards out in front of him he could see the throngs of students wandering around with the senior students at their lead. They were apparently looking for him since he had 'gone missing'. Moving towards the group he tried to yell out but his voice failed him. He did the next best thing he could do and raised his right arm up and waved it with his zanpaktou still in his hand. One of the senior students quickly noticed him and directed the others towards his location. Seeing his 'rescue party' coming towards him Tenkai was more then happy to let himself fall to the ground and into a well deserved rest.
It was several months later now that Tenkai had found himself graduating from the academy. His already displayed skills and his antics in the world of the living had gotten him quite the reputation. That, couples with the The keen eyes of the teachers made it more then easy to acquire recommendations after graduation. All of these factors combined, Tenkai had landed himself a spot in the 7th Division as an unseated officer. Such a thing rarely occurred for a fresh graduate from the academy but he was not normal. However his procuring of a higher then typical rank earned him the disdain of many in his squad. Others grew jealous of him and even angry that he had made his way through the ranks so easily. His superiors found themselves wishing to take their anger out on him in the form of difficult missions that would get a low ranking shinigami like himself killed. It was on one of these various missions in the future that Tenkai would separate himself from the average man once more.
Officer: Tenkai's time as an unseated officer was certainly more exciting then most were. Every available chance his superiors, primarily his Lieutenant, was sending him to the world of the living. He would be there for weeks at a time watching over towns and clearing out hollows. There was of course the random konso as just as there were hollows, there were also wandering souls in the area for them to feast on. However, as much as he had longed for the excitement and fulfillment of being a shinigami, this was not what he had asked for. He disliked the fact that he couldn't work alongside his fellow squad mates just because he was young or inexperienced. Why did people have to be so petty and squable over things such as rank. Ones character was what was truly important in the scheme of things. What they did, not what they were rewarded for. But Tenkai fulfilled his job faithfully to train and lessen the disdain his fellow squad members had for him. The various trips back and forth from the Seireitei and the World of the Living. There was minimal time for him to rest between trips as well, only have at most a week of off time for basic duties. Unfortunately the disdain stayed, and the missions continued to roll in. However one day, a mission that Tenkai was sent on would be a savior of sorts. It was incredibly dangerous which was why they most likely selected him for it, but he was determined to see it through.
What was seen as a suicide mission would actually turn out to be the opportunity of a life time for Tenkai. He had been sent to the world of the living by his Lieutenant due to the lack of a Captain. His mission was to investigate the disappearance of various other shinigami in the world of the living. He was being sent to district #2307, an area notorious for hollow activity. That, combined with the fact that four shinigami had already gone missing, made this a dangerous mission. Arriving in town Tenkai could already tell something was amiss. There wasn't much movement around the streets, the town was practically deserted. Whatever had gotten to the shinigami had apparently also gotten to a large portion of the townsfolk in the area. He would have to be on guard while he patrolled the town for whatever he was looking for. However he wouldn't be aware he was already being stalked. Taking a right at the corner of a street he was suddenly attacked from behind. A large hollow, at least twice his size pounced on his back pinning him to the ground. His first reaction was to try to get out from its grasp but it proved fruitless. The only thing he could manage to do was turn his head and get a look at whatever the monster was. It was a hideous looking beast with the head of a snake that dripped venom at each hiss. It's body was also snake like but had powerful clawed arms and legs with large wings accentuating its back.
Tenkai knew if he didn't do something in a few seconds he would end up dead so he would have to act quickly. Moving his left hand as best he could he fired a byakurai up into the creatures forearm causing it to retract its powerful grip. With a lot more leverage at his disposal Tenkai managed to roll out to his left side and get away from the beasts grip. At least, for a moment. The hollow was quick to snatch Tenkai up in it's claw and bring him to the skies above. It would then lower itself towards one of the buildings and release him flinging the young shinigami into one of the various buildings hurting him quite a bit. Falling a good twenty five feet to the ground he landed hard on his side breaking his left arm. But at least now he could stand and get a good idea of where he was and regain his composure. Drawing his zanpaktou he caught glimpse of the creature descending upon him. Quickly dodging to the side as the beast past he slashed upwards as quickly as he could and caught the hollow along his side and up its right wing. The creature's aerial stability destroyed it fell to the ground below after losing its balance and collided with a street light ripping it from the ground.
It was his opportunity to finish the beast off while he had the chance. Calling out to his zanpaktou, Oni Kokouo he brought himself upon the beast and slew it with the flowing flames that emanated from the blade. Purifying the beasts soul its evil spirit was vanquished from the world of the living and sent to the soul society cleansed of its sins. Now that his battle was over and the mystery of the missing shinigami had been solved he could go back to his barracks and rest. Upon his return he had proved himself a powerful and worthy member of the Gotei 13 and much of the disdain others had for him had faded. Once he had recovered he would be rewarded for his solving of a four month long case. With his current level of skill and his impressive service record he would rise to the rank of Lieutenant and be assigned to the 9th Division.
Lieutenant: For thirty seven years Tenkai would serve faithfully in the 9th Division as its Lieutenant assigning duties to others and taking on difficult missions when need be. He himself fulfilled his duties to their fullest as well. He was charged with commanding his squad in absence of a Captain. He wielded the full authority that their leader would normally have standing in as the Defacto Captain of the squad. He loved the 9th Division as well, treating them as family. They had heard tale of his missions in the 7th Division and the dangers he had braved to get where he was. There was none of the disdain that he had been given in his prior squad which he appreciated. He did also manage to meet an individual that would become an incredibly close friend to him as well. The man was currently the 8th Seat Officer of the squad, Kichiro Hideaki Nishimura. This man was dedicated to his duties as a shinigami and was one of the most humble people he had ever met.
The two became quick friends having the same outlooks on life and ideals. He saw in Kichiro a lot of himself and the trials he had gone through when he was a lower ranked officer. The man was another of great talent and had risen through the ranks quickly. He was in fact due for a promotion sometime soon as well with all of the work he had been putting away. But he, like Tenkai, had not originally been a part of the 9th Division before being relocated. He had been a member of the 3rd Division, and much like himself had earned the disdain of several of his superiors. He had graduated from the academy and managed to achieve a higher rank then even Tenkai himself. The friendship he had made between himself and Kichiro, someone who had gone through the same things he had, it made his time there enjoyable. But in time, things began to get bland even with the new friendships he had made and the new trials he had to face.
He wasn't content with where he was and he figured it was time to try to move through the ranks once more. Over the long time he served in the 9th Division he had trained himself day in and day out and had acquired his bankai. It took him a total of eighteen years to acquire his bankai and another nine more to master it. It was certainly a great deal of time but only perhaps a third of what most individuals took to attain and train their own if not longer. It was his dedication to the shinigami and his need to fulfill his duties that drove him to become stronger and strive for greatness. In time, he would wish to take the Captain's test which would separate him from the many shinigami that were his piers, even the other lieutenants, and put him in a group of his own. The Captain's were the strongest of seireitei and were essentially the representatives of what the shinigami stood for.
Captain: It would be his hard training and great sacrifices in the face of danger that would gain him the rank of Captain. Taking the test before two other Captains and the Captain Commander himself he would approved of his new rank and gained access to the elite group of Captains. His skills had been tested thoroughly but he proved himself to be fully deserving of being a Captain. He possessed the power, skill, intelligence, and responsibility that would be demanded of a Division leader. Prostrating himself proudly, he marched into the barracks which he was now the head of, the 7th Division, his old squad. He now wore the white haori with the number of seven emblazoned on the back signifying his rank and squad. He had reached a pinacle and now possessed immense strength and power. This was his dream since he had entered the academy so many years ago and now it had been fulfilled. Interestingly enough though, the people who had once shared such great disdain for him now welcomed him back to the squad as their Captain.
They had heard of his exploits as the Lieutenant of the 9th Division and his extensive training and hard worked had earned their respect. They were more then happy and quite proud for him to be their new Captain. Many apologies went around as well to their new leader for their past behavior and discretions. Tenkai, not one to hold a grudge was quick to forgive those who apologied for their prior actions. He wished for their squad to be like a family, for them to all get along and work together to protect the souls of the dearly departed. There was one thing missing from his squad though, something that he had in the 9th Division that he now lacked. Kichiro practically served as his right hand man in his previous post but now he was lacking that individual. This would also be how Kichiro would come to be the 4th Seat of the 7th Division. Tenkai went back to his old squad and was welcomed with open arms. They all congratulated him on his promotion and asked why he had come.
Speaking to those who were once his own men he informed them he had come to speak with Kichiro. Amongst the throngs Kichiro came forward to the front of the group to speak to Tenkai. The two conversed for a while revealing that Kichiro had also been promoted up to 6th Seat. Not being one for extensive small talk Tenkai got down to business and put his proposition down on the table. He offered Kichiro the position of 4th Seat Officer in his squad and would be effective immediately if he agreed to it. His friend didn't even need a minute to make his decision as a yes flew from his mouth only moments later. Though he was somewhat sad about leaving his squad he knew if he was under Tenkai's wing things would be great. Saying their farewells to their now old squad the two made their way back to the 7th Division Barracks. Now, the two friends walked into the barracks each being a member of the division and ready to lead it to greatness. Tenkai would lead the squad for many a year with Kichiro being his right hand mand once more. Today we find ourselves in the same situation as Tenkai continues to lead his squad loyally and faithfully.

Zanpakutō Spirit Persona: Oni Kokouo is a rather cold and sadistic individual. He has no problems subjugating those who are weaker then himself. His outlook is very much like that of a chess master, he has no reservations about sacrificing the pawns if it will result in victory for himself. But just as he is sadistic, he is also calm and collected. He does not act quickly upon his own violent tendencies due to his great intellect. All of this coalesces in a mastermind of devious plots with no resentment towards the loss of life. He wishes to instill these 'virtues' in Tenkai as well but has so far failed. Tenkai is also the only person he see's as worthy to control his power but refuses to consider him as his master. They are merely being partners in his own words.
Inner World: Tenkai's inner world tends to reflect his state of emotional being. Typically, it is a thriving and beautiful landscape covered with bright green and vibrant grass. Amidst the field is a single tall and strong oak tree which looks upon the entire land. Beneath this tree is typically where Oni Kokouo spends most of his time. the skies are clear with few clouds that dot the atmosphere with their fluffy white presence. This is what his inner world tends to look like when he is calm and at peace. That being the case, this is what would be considered the natural state of his inner world. However, when his emotional state becomes compromised whether it be through some form of angering or in battle, his inner world changes dramatically.
Instead of the vibrant and lively landscape that it usually is, Tenkai's inner world becomes a dark and morbid place. The grass has died and wilted to become a dark brown. The skies have become chaotic as dark clouds fill the air and wind blows violentally kicking up dirt and debris. The tree that once stood tall and proud in the midst of the landscape is now barren and dead. Flames have gathered upon the tree reaching up to the sky creating a maelstrom of fire and air high above the ground. But still, beneath the tree, Oni Kokouo can be found.
Spirit Appearance: Oni Kokouo stands at ten feet and six inches (10'6). He weighs an incredibly six hundred and forty nine pounds (649 Lbs). His most noticable feature is his crimson red skin and four bright blood red eyes that peer into your soul when he gazes upon you. Upon his forehead there are two large horns protruding from his left and right temple. He has long black hair worn in a similar fashion to how Tenkai wears his own hair. He wears the lower shihakushou of a shinigami and a chainmail vest over his chest with the middle unclasped. His body is adorned with countless scars from the variety of battles Tenkai and himself have been in over the years. Some of them even from the battles between himself and his master. His body is very defined and muscular and when combined with his height gives him an incredibly imposing figure. Unlike Tenkai however, he will at times use his strength for his own amusement.

Sealed Form: Looks like the typical zanpaktou. The handle is a crimson red and the guard a simple circle. The sheath is a jet black with crimson red obi ties. Length from pommel to guard, 10 Inches. Length of blade, 32 Inches. Total length, 42 Inches.
Released Form: Oni Kokouo splits into two separate blades that become engulfed with white hot flames all the way up to the guard. The shape of the zanpaktou changes slightly as the blades increase in length. Upon shikai release the masters reiatsu is transformed into a blazing inferno to reflect the flames of his soul. Length from pommel to guard stays same, 10 Inches. Length of blade increases, 34 Inches. Total length, 44 Inches.
Shikai Ability- Honooita (Flame Eater): The flames themselves, if one comes into contact with them, can cause severe burns to an individual singeing their flesh. Absorbing the flames in the surrounding area caused by the zanpaktou, its abilities, or Tenkai's reiryoku itself, he can increase the power of his abilities and his attacks but can backfire if too much fire is absorbed causing him to instead damage himself instead of strengthen his attacks.
(The only flames themselves that are constant are the flames that envelop the zanpaktou, they will remain as long as the release is in effect. Tenkai's reiryoku is made into the blazing inferno as a result of the release but once his reserves are depleted so will the flames be. Ideally four posts of absorbing the surrounding flames with each additional absorb increasing the damage output of a used attack or technique. Going beyond that three post limit causes the built up flames to burst out causing burn damage to Tenkai instead and releasing the gathered flames. Oni Kokouo can not directly absorb its own flames created by Tenkai's reiryoku but can absorb any type of fire based technique or ability used by an opponent or anything in the surrounding area that has caught fire (15 Meters).)

Shikai Secondary Ability- Enkouhara (Fire Field): Sending out a wave of flames (150 Meters) to the surrounding area it turns the battlefield into a blazing inferno. The intense flames that are now spread about the field serve to not only burn and harm the opponent if they stay within it for a prolonged amount of time but also enhance the strength of Tenkai's techniques and offensive abilities. The technique also quickly devours the oxygen in the effected area feeding the flames of Tenkai's shikai form and enhancing his abilities. The longer an opponent stays within the area the greater the effects of the oxygen deprivation until they eventually lose consciousness.

Bankai Appearance: In its bankai the blades increase slightly in length once again morphing into its final form. The katanas also turn jet black signifying the darkness hidden in Tenkai's heart. Bankai retains the same flaming reiatsu as the shikai but intensifies the flames further as well as condensing them to the blade and within proximity to his body making him what is essentially a walking sun. Length from Pommel to guard stays same again, 10 Inches. Length of blade increases, 36 Inches. Total length, 46 Inches.
Bankai Ability- Honooita (Flame Eater): Identical to the shikai ability but with increased absorbing limits exponentially increasing the potential power of his abilities beyond shikai. The flames from the blade itself become even hotter that it is almost unbearable to be around them without risking injury. They are by far some of the hottest flames to ever be created and have incredible destructive power.
(As with the shikai ability being four posts, the use of bankai increases the limit to eight posts before the gathered flames will erupt damaging Tenkai. The range of absorption also increases from 15 meters to 30 meters. With the increase of post limit allowing an exponential growth to potential strength it similarly increases the danger and damage of over absorbing and harming himself exponentially further as well.)

'The technique in essence augments the users ability to inflict damage on their opponent. It increases the density of the flames around the blade allowing it to increase the actual damage as well as burn effects upon strike. The increased burning effect allows to singe the flesh negating the bodies natural regenerative processes beyond what a normal wound would inflict. Depending on how long the technique is active their are various effects that inflict the user as well. Can stack with Sugikasho for increased damage.'

Name - Ketatamashii Haretsu (Piercing Explosion)

'A simple stabbing technique with added effects. The flames that engulf the blade gather and solidify around the blade, primarily the tip. Once prepared, when the zanpaktou makes physical contact with the opponent whether its their flesh or blocking with zanpaktou, the flames will erupt outwards in a powerful explosion. The explosion obviously adds increased damaging effects to the attack but can also cause severe burns. These burns cause wounds to heal much slower even with healing kidou as well as damage the areas in question making them difficult to use further in combat. If used when Nenshou Dageki and/or Sugikasho are active damage is significantly increased.'

'This technique, though a passive one, is one of Tenkai's most powerful. Upon activating his bankai he is engulfed in a flaming cloak that possesses heat close to that of the suns core. It is next to impossible to breach this shield without injuring oneself or being significantly more powerful then Tenkai.

Name - Jigoku Kasai Kuretsu (Hellfire Crack)

'The technique is similar to Ketatamashii Haretsu in preparation. The flames condense and gather around the sword preparing for the strike. Then, swinging the blade downwards with great force into the ground a large fissure opens up stretching for a maximum of fifteen meters. From out of the fissure flames erupt up burning and greatly harming any that are caught in its wake or in the general vicinity of the technique. The flames shoot up fifty meters and have an immediate range of thirty five meters in either direction that the flames will have maximum effect and spread outwards from there. Beyond the initial thirty five meter range the further one is away from the attack the less harm will come to them.'

'This is Tenkai's, and arguably Oni Kokouo's ultimate technique. Already being of one soul the two beings become of one body as well with their spiritual essence being combined within Tenkai's body. The combined strength of both entities inhabiting one body astronomically increases Tenkai's fighting abilities to levels far beyond his natural ones.
Drawbacks: Having their combined power in one body puts a massive strain on Tenkai's physical being. The form can only be maintained for so long before they must separate or they could both be destroyed by their own power. After doing so, Tenkai reverts back to his shikai form and his bankai can not be used for the remainder of the battle.
